The perfect body?

I read an article in the daily times that stated in the United Kingdom, only three percent of women are fully happy and confident with their bodies…
3 percent.
It’s extremely saddening to know that still today, people are starving themselves, falling into depression or even taking their lives each and everyday because they don’t feel they are beautiful nor feel they fit into the society because of their look.

Why is this??? Mostly to do with the absurd social media we all succumb to. The ‘perfect’ complexions, the tiny models, the thickest and longest hair.. Girls and boys, as I’m sure you all know, todays media doesn’t produce real beauty… It’s technology creates a beauty we all believe to be true.

I know how this all feels because when I was younger, I had all these feelings and thoughts rushing through my head from time to time. Don’t get me wrong, I was a very happy child but I’m not going to lie and say I always thought I was beautiful 100% of the time. There were times where I believed I was fat, when I was far from it. Time when I thought I wasn’t good enough. Times when I believed if my hips were just a bit smaller, I’d be so much happier. In reality, it was all in my head. And today, my beauty shines from within. I’ve learnt to accept myself for who I am and I wanted to share with you some tips for when you’re feeling low.

Get out and get active; I promise you, the more active you are, the healthier you’ll feel and look. I forever become agitated if I was staying in all day, sitting here writing this article whilst the sun is shining… is killing me. Getting out and going for something as little as a brisk walk or a bike ride, it helps improve that feel good factor.
It is a known fact that working out releases endorphins which in turn results in us obtaining that wonderful euphoric feeling.

Eating well and clean; It honestly does help to eat healthy and clean meals with boosting your moods and get you feeling more alive. It is so easy to grab for the comfort food when you’re feeling down but in turn that’ll leave you feeling sluggish and lethargic.

Learn to love your body and what’s on the inside. Your beauty is so much more than how you look, it’s how you present yourself and most of all how you treat other people. Work on your hobbies, and yourself and you’ll see how beautiful you really are in no time.

Hope you find some light from this.

Much Love,

Evie Xxevie_100
